Consult Hyperion is an IT management consultancy specialising in the design, prototyping and testing of secure electronic transaction systems for public and private sector customers. The company has a methodical approach which blends business and systems analysis skills with world-leading domain expertise in electronic payments, authentication, smart cards, network security and related areas. This approach -- applied over 23 years working with banks, payment schemes, governments, telecommunications operators, transit authorities and leading technology providers -- helps Consult Hyperion's customers turn new concepts into working systems effectively and efficiently.
The audited accounts for the last financial year were released today and show continued steady growth despite the difficult economic situation, with turnover rising to £4.2M. The company's strategy to grow and become more diverse in its customer base has proved very successful, with the company having been selected for major projects by blue chip clients in Europe, North America and Asia.
During this time, the company also established a professional associate programme to enhance its ability to provide multi-displinary teams for major projects. The year also saw the company hold two high-profile events, the Digital Money Forum 2009 and the Identity and Privacy Forum 2009 which brought together speakers, delegates and panellists from many countries to discuss key issues in a now long-established and popular seminar format.
Neil McEvoy, Managing Director, attributes the company's success in difficult times to its track record of producing for its clients successful innovations in sensitive areas which are also safe. As he puts it, "Our customers must remain innovative in order to stay ahead of the competition in a period when their customers are more discerning than ever. Against a background of systematic attack on transactional systems, it is vital to apply the right blend of imagination, analytical skill and technical know-how to ensure that new services are both attractive and safe for the long term".
