Consult Hyperion has again lent its support to a local cause by sponsoring last week's ‘
Wake up Woking’ concert that saw music legend Paul Weller return to his home town to play a one-off gig in aid of the Woking Hospice. The concert, held at the Woking Leisure Centre which was organised by Director of Consult Hyperion Gloria Benson’s brother, Sam Molnar. Their mother was cared for at the Hospice.
The concert was sold-out within days of being announced and raised over £55,000 through the 1,200 ticket sales, merchandise on the night and sponsorship and was hugely successful and entertaining. Speaking after the concert Sam Molnar, an old Friend of Paul’s said:
“We are delighted that we managed to organise such a fantastic event, which made a lot of people (not just Weller fans) very happy. Our thanks go to Paul and all the acts for performing for us, all the people at the Hospice, the Council and leisure centre staff that helped to make the night such a success. Not only have we raised a significant amount of money for the hospice which will really help them, but also created more awareness of the Woking hospice and the great work that they do!”
Gloria says that as local company we know how important our support for local charities can be, so we as a company take great pride in our annual challenges and events that raise money for local causes:
“I’m thrilled that the ‘Wake up Woking’ concert was so popular and such a huge success – the Woking hospice, and all these local charities do such amazing work its great that we’re able to help them with big events like this and our Forum that people get behind and support,”
Well done Sam, we were happy to be able to support you.
