Mark Ratcliffe, Murmur Research

By Dave Birch posted Mar 1 2010 at 1:09 PM

[Dave Birch] Mark Ratcliffe runs Murmur Research and has been conducting detailed consumer research on attitudes towards mobile payments. Murmur Research is a full service qualitative market research company. Murmur specialises in researching the likes of strategic and creative development, new product development, trends research, usage and attitude studies and communication checks for brands such as RBS/NatWest, Coca-Cola, Timberland, MTV, Lifestyle Services Group, Greene King, Stella Artois and Kellogg’s, as well as ad agencies such as Fallon, Mother, DDB, Euro RSCG and MCBD. It utilises conventional methodologies such as focus groups and depth interviews and less conventional methodologies such as co-creation sessions – utilising savvy respondent input to help develop ideas for clients – ethnography, where we immerse ourselves in a culture for days or weeks on end and opinion former research where we speak with sector experts, whether they be famous film directors, top marketing directors, senior ad agency planners or – in the case of some research for Durex – high class prostitutes.
