His previous position was Executive General Manager, Clearing & Settlement for Australian Stock Exchange Ltd. where he was responsible for the establishment of the Australian Clearing House under the Financial Services Reform legislation. ACH is the central counterparty and risk manager for every trade on ASX’s markets. Mr Hamilton has broad experience in developing financial markets infrastructure. In this podcast, he talks about the interplay between technology, business and regulation in the Australian retail payments market, where the regulation of interchange started some time ago.
