An outline of the scope of the Payment Services Directive (PSD), requirements on payment institutions (PIs) and PSD conduct of business requirements. Also update on proposals to amend the E-Money Directive.

Progress on implementation of the PSD by EU Member States, implementation of the PSD by the UK Financial Services Authority (FSA) and opportunities and issues raised by the PSD.

4.15pm Implications for Business, Round table discussion led by David Birch, Consult Hyperion

A discussion on the implications of the PSD for payment service providers, the potential advantages and issues, managing implementations of the PSD and creating a level playing field be created between payment service providers?).  Discussion participants will include Dominic Peachey from the FSA (the person responsible for e-money legislation in the UK).
